Wilwood's forged aluminum D154 caliper is based on a widely utilized GM design dating back to the late 70's up through the early 2000's. Because of this, there are a plethora of brake pad options making this a valuable option to use as an upgrade for applications requiring a high performance aluminum floating caliper.
These are the calipers we have spec'd for our SN95 rear big brake kit and ultimate dual caliper setup for drifting. Due to their floating mount deisgn, these calipers were chosen to help mitigate pad knockback commonly found on c-clip style rear axles.
This listing is for the dual piston version of these Wilwood calipers, designed for 0.81" wide rotors. Max rotor diameter is 12.19". Available Piston area options of 1.98" or 4.12". Available color options are red or black.
Use 1.98" calipers for Mustang foot brakes / main service brakes to maintain proper bias.
Use 4.12" calipers for handbrake calipers with our D154 dual caliper brackets.
